The customization of PeopleXS is executed through our proven PeopleXS Customization and Delivery Method (PC&DM).
This method includes the following steps:
Analysis
Preparation is half the work. This certainly is the case when starting customizations. One of your core users analyzes your recruitment process. What steps are taken? What assessments are done? How are your processes organized? How do you relate to other business divisions? What are your critical factors of success? On the basis of the results of the analysis a recommendation is made on how PeopleXS can be set up and will be customized. The core user (jointly with one of our representatives if needed) works out test scripts on the basis of your requirements. Once the customization is completed it can be tested on the basis of these scripts whether the installation meets the requirements. To be able to support the analysis visually the PeopleXS prototype is used to facilitate and view quick amendments.
Customize
With customize we mean: making the application fit into your organization. PeopleXS is based on an open standard and thus suitable for any kind of platform. The customization of PeopleXS is performed by core user(s) and the PeopleXS representative (if needed) who facilitates the analysis. Development of on-line assessments, layout of your web site, etc. is not included in the customization process. PeopleXS has been designed for all common platforms, such as Windows, Linux, J2EE, SQL Server, Oracle etc.
Installation
The analysis is the basis of the installation. PeopleXS is installed after the design is completed. The workflow is set up in a way that your organization's processes will be supported. Templates for standard correspondence and web forms will be put together. Future users will be set up, their role within the system will be determined and they receive the accompanying user rights. Administrating users receive training in customizing, maintaining, troubleshooting the application.
Testing
Now the provided test scripts assist you in testing the customized application. This ensures that all features are meeting your requirements. As this will be the first time that you will see everything in operation as defined during the analysis phase, it could be that you want to make adjustments to the requirements. This will cause an iterative process, during which the analysis, customize, installation and testing phases will be repeated in a quick pace. All until the result meets your expectations.
Training
The training phase is an important phase of the implementation project. How your employees will be trained will depend on your own wishes and possibilities. You can decide to have your employee training be taken care of by PeopleXS. You can also choose to point out certain employees as key-users, whom, after an intensive training by PeopleXS, will facilitate training for the rest of the organization. Making use of key-users (train the trainer) has strong preference.
Deployment
This phase will mainly consist of converting data from your existing system(s) to the PeopleXS database and other technical aspects that have to be completed before the application goes live. In this phase decisions operational issues like help desk contacts, possible agreements on service levels, etc. are defined. Now you are ready to recruit successfully!
Support
During the operational phase we can provide support. Depending on your wishes and service level agreements this may vary from technical maintenance to functional application engineering. On a regular basis PeopleXS will take the initiative to evaluate the use of the application and suggest possible improvements.
