_Low-priced edition supports basic recruitment tasks

PeopleXS announces the Basic Edition of her recruitment software to be launched in the fall of 2003
The suite of peopleXS recruitment software will be extended with a Basic Edition. The new edition will offer all the functionalities needed to perform basic recruitment tasks:
- Registration of applicants through e-mail, internet, mail, etc.
- Integration with the company web site through PortalXS
- Full-text search in applicant, contact, resume and vacancy-data
Frank Oddens, managing director of peopleXS: "we needed to address the need for a simple and straight-forward recruitment package. Many consultancy firms and recruitment agencies do not need the rich functionalities of full-blown recruitment solutions. The Basic Edition gives them the opportunity to opt for a low-priced solution with only the necessary core features."
The Basic Edition will allow applicants to apply for vacancies on the companies existing web site or portal. All applications will be stored in the peopleXS database and made available for full-text search by recruiters.
Frank Oddens: "These features represent the basic flow that is present in each recruitment process. We choose for the simplicity of a full-text search, because of its powerful ability to search the resume database with any query a user would like to perform. It is fast and straightforward. The use of matching profiles or natural language processors are still too time-consuming and complex for customers that want to do straightforward recruitment and therefore only available in our higher-end editions."
Pricing of the new Edition will likely be one of the lowest priced licenses available in the market for recruitment software at this moment. As with all editions of peopleXS, support will be included in this price model.
The Basic Edition is undergoing beta testing at this moment. The experiences from this test project will also point out if the development of a training module is necessary. It is expected that due to the ease of use a short on-line introduction to the software is sufficient for users to start using the application. Existing customers can join the beta-program by contacting us through the usual channels.
The Basic Edition will be an integral part of the peopleXS software suite. This will mean that the software can be upgraded to the Professional or the Enterprise edition if needed and that it can be integrated with any third-party product through PortalXS.
