Regarding the screens; it would be great when a user is able to customize the lay-out of the screens to his liking. Hiding tabs, functionalities and fields. Preferably so that the user can 'open' these objects instantly when needed. Purpose: usability.

See also this post www.peoplexs.com/communities/en/ideas/index.cfm/2009/4/29/Hide-Tabs-and-Object which is lined up now for the november 2009 release.

My opinion is that you would like to have system (customer) wide settings to hide tabs, functionalities and fields. To make them indivudual for each user is not practical and difficult to manage and support for a central HR department. It also poses some conflicts like if you would introduce a new manadatory field a user should use it no matter what, so he/she is not completely free. Furthermore, everytime you change the setup centrally for tabs, fields etc. Users will have to update their local profiles as well. Lots of time could get waisted with each update.
