Notification by mail (Parent accounts)
At the moment all parent accounts of accounts that are linked to an open vacancy receive an email notification if a candidate has been forwarded. In a complex structure as ours, this doesn't make much sense at all. Sometimes, a parent account has up to 30 accounts below him. This creates a big mass of email notification if only a few of them are recruiting at the same time. In order to avoid this email overload, we would like to remove the email notification for the parent accounts or give them the chance that they can filter for my tasks versus all account tasks or a drop down for a particular account. They could also select which accounts they receive notifications for (their own, all or selected additional accounts to their own) or just receive their own. Otherwise they might mark People XY emails as junk mail and this is clearly not what we want.
Comments
To create a suitable solution for everybody we first want to introduce 2 new options in the set-up of the managers portal.
These new settings can be used to enable or diable the e-mail notification trough the entire organisation tree and to hide or show the tasks for all child departments.
If you allow your managers to see all tasks of their department and all child departments they might want an option to show or hide these tasks on their own portal as well.
Therefore and extra option is addedn on the "My tasks" tab of the managers portal to hide or show tasks of underlaying departments.
The manager could also have these options in his own setup, see my previous comment. That way you can leave it to the indivual manager what level of control they want instead of enforcing it for all. The default should be no mail, and tasks from departements down in the hierarchy hidden.

1. mail:
Default setting should be that no mails are received for underlaying accounts. In the setup tab on the managersportal the manager can be offered to override this option.
2. tasks:
On the tasks overview only task for the current account should be shown, and an option should be available to also include tasks for underlaying accounts.
