Peoplexs values people. We are always exploring new ways to make the HR process easier and less time consuming in order to make it possible to focus on what is really important: the people that make the business. This is more than just recruitment. Sure, it's important that all posts are filled, but that's just the beginning. How to make everyone excel and create enough opportunities for development? How to keep talent loyal to your company and what's the best way to keep each employee happy? That's the biggest challenge.
In earlier days there were standard development programs that brought employees with high potential slowly to the top. Today we are used to a more personal approach for every single employee. Organisations that work from the inner strenght of the people will achieve more: creativity and sharing knowledge are more common there and their employees are more loyal. It's not an easy assignment for HR professionals. The bigger the company, the more difficult it is to keep track of all the different needs and support people personally.
Peoplexs has developed a goal management tool to help coördinating this process that makes it easier for organisations to support individual employees in achievinging their personal goals. Goal management gives an overview of the plans that are agreed to and shows whether things are on track. It's possible to add more tasks, like the tracking of absence, requests for special leave and training needs.
The Danish Århus University has partnered with us to implement the goal management system of Peoplexs . They use it as an PhD planner that tracks the progress of the students research. Applicants can submit their research and learning plans for university's evaluators and supervisors to approve. Several administrative processes are integrated in the system, which means easy access to student portfolios, ratings and absence or requests that are of influence to progress.
To us, this is only the beginning of value people and creating opportunities for everybody. We will continue developing and brind a wider range of talent management tools in de near future.

July release: announcement
We are happy to announce the upcoming July release of peoplexs.
This release will contain the following new features:
- Being able to easy return to search results
- Candidates can change their password on the candidatesportal
- Change owner by mass update
- Forward candidates from a search
- Forward vacancies to social networks
- Jobboard posting: Knollenstein multi posting
- Merge improvements
- Move back and forth between candidates in search results
- Notification to recruiter when manager provides feedback
- Print all (note additional license needed)
- Preview a vacancy from managersportal
- Protect recruiters notes from being overwritten by manager
- Save "all task" option on managersportal between logins
- Use only fields that are actually in use (setup) for search options
The new features will come available on the Labs server as soon as they are developed together with a detailled description with examples and screen shots in the July 2010 category of the Labs section in the community. Please pay a regular visit here or subscribe to the Labs by mail so you are kept up to date with the developments.
The release schedule will be:
- July 9 : release notes made available
- July 16: latest change on stage server, release freeze
- July 31: release goes life
Note that the following changes are mandatory and will come available without a change in setup:
- Being able to easy return to search results
- Change owner by mass update
- Forward candidates from a search
- Merge improvements
- Move back and forth between candidates in search results
- Protect recruiters notes from being overwritten by manager
- Save "all task" option on managersportal between logins
- Use only fields that are actually in use (setup) for search options
There are no label changes expected in the managersportal that would need translation in the above mandatory changes.
All other changes in the release only first go into effect when you would take them in use by changing the setup.

Beware of Fraudulent Emails (Phishing)
Email fraud is an increasingly common danger for unsuspecting online consumers and business users today.
One of the most popular scams is the growing practice of "phishing." With phishing, the perpetrator uses email to lure you to fake Web sites (designed to look legitimate), where you're asked to disclose confidential personal information, like your PeopleXS user name and password.
Phishing scams are becoming more sophisticated and sometimes even include a phone component. In this latest twist, criminals include a telephone number in their emails rather than a Web site address. When a victim calls the number, a person or an automated system asks for your personal and/or account information.
PeopleXS will never contact you by email or phone asking you to reveal your user name and password.
If you receive a suspicious email or phone call asking for this or other sensitive information about your account, contact us at helpdesk@peoplexs.com.
You can protect yourself against phishing attacks by learning to identify suspicious emails.
Be suspicious of emails that use urgent requests or scare tactics to entice you to respond. Contact us at helpdesk@peoplexs.com if you doubt the authenticity of an email that appears to come from PeopleXS.
- Be wary even if the email or site uses some of PeopleXS's images and logos. Many fraudulent sites use copyrighted images taken from the Web.
- Never enter confidential information into forms embedded within email messages.
- Do not respond to email requests for passwords, credit card numbers, or other sensitive data. PeopleXS and other legitimate companies never request private data via email (or phone).
- Never open attachments sent to you by someone you don't know.
PeopleXS Login Page
Spoofing is the practice of setting up a Web site that parodies a legitimate site for the specific purpose of deceiving people into providing confidential information. These sites are typically accessed by an embedded link in an email and often request user IDs and passwords. You can avoid becoming a victim of online fraud by always logging in to PeopleXS through our secure site.
- Be suspicious of emails that include links to the PeopleXS log-in page.
- If you are not sure that the page you clicked to is the legitimate PeopleXS log-in page, launch a new browser and get to the page by either typing:
- https://ssl1.peoplexs.com/Portal/Login/LoginFORM.cfm (don't forget the 's' in 'https'), when clicking the "Login" link
- http://www.peoplexs.com/login
- Log in to your test environment only at the following secure site: https://stage.peoplexs.com/
- Look for the "lock" icon in the bottom-right corner of your browser to ensure you have a secure connection to our site.
Protect Your Password
If using a public computer or terminal, always log out when you complete an online session. Keep your passwords private. Remember, anyone who knows your password may access your PeopleXS account.
- Avoid using the same password for multiple online accounts.
- Never share your password with anyone ever.
- Never reply to an email requesting your user name, password, or other sensitive information.
- Use a unique password for each online account.
- Use a strong password of at least eight characters that would be difficult to guess, even for someone who knows you well.
- Use a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols, and avoid using words from the dictionary.
- Change your password frequently.
Announcement URGENT maintenance March 12, 2010
Tomorrow during the night our network supplier has to execute some urgent maintenance on the PeopleXS network. One of the redundantly setup load-balancers has fallen out, and to restore the redundancy a new load-balancer has to be installed. These activities are necessary to be able to guarantee the availability of PeopleXS.
The activities will be carried out between 00:00 and 03:00 during which time PeopleXS will not be available for a period of 15 minutes.

Announcement maintenance March 13/14 2010
The upcoming weekend we will make use of our regular maintenance window, which runs from Saturday 20:00 until 06:00 the following Sunday.
These activities will contain the release of the latest PeopleXS version and a technical update of the PeopleXS platform.
Due to the technical update there can be some hick-ups in the connection and in the time frame of 22:00 until 23:00 PeopleXS will not be available. Anybody trying to use PeopleXS during the period from 22:00 and 23:00 will receive a maintenance message and will be asked to try again later.

February release: available on Labs
The February release is now finished and available on our Labs server. The release will go live during the night from saturday to sunday, 13/14 March.
This will give you 2 weeks from now to have a look at what has been changed. You can find a description of all changes in the March 2010 category in the Labs.
You would like to have a look at the following changes in particular to inform your users as they contain mandatory changes:
Managing tasks and notifications of subsidiaries
Where managers before the change received all notifications, also for subsidiairies, they will now only receive them for their own department. The same is true for the tasklist overview.
Save draft mail
You might want to announce the new possibilities concerning draft mails with your users. Note this only applies to "full" users, not users that use the managersportal.
When you have a managersportal in a language that is not standard in peoplexs you need to translate labels for these changes:

These labels are:
Total
All tasks
Receive emails on
My account tasks
My account and subsidiary account tasks
All other changes in the release only first go into effect when you would take them in use by changing the setup.

A first look at 2010
The November release added some great new functionalities to the PeopleXS application. I am sure you've checked out Labs to find out what's new right? You haven't? Take a look here: November 2009 release
So after a successfull release it is time for Product Management to look at the next major release which is in Februari 2010.
Already we have selected the Top 5 idea's you have been voting on for the past months. And we have also released our first designs on how to implement those idea's in the application!

Seperation of application and corporate website
Because of ongoing separation between our corporate website and our application we would like to inform you that on December 31st 2009 all links that point to www.peoplexs.com will stop working.
This means that Iframes, login-pages to managers portals or other links to our application that are on your website or intranet must point to ssl1.peoplexs.com instead of www.peoplexs.com.
What do you have to do?
In most cases all links of Iframes or login-pages already point to ssl1.peoplexs.com. But to make sure your links to PeopleXS continue to work after December 31st please consult your IT department or your website party to check if there are any links on your intranet or corporate website pointing to www.peoplexs.com and change them to ssl1.peoplexs.com.

Maintenance window
In the weekend of November 28th, at the same time the second part of the November release will go live, we will take the opportunity to perform some maintenance on our file servers. This means we will use our service window starting from Saturday 28th at 20:00 till Sunday 29th at 05:00. The application will be available during that period. We only expect a short downtime of ten minutes at the start of the service window.

November release
Many of you have been testing the new functionalities for the November release on our test environment. As of the 23rd of November the first part of the new release will also be available on the live server so everybody can benefit from some great new features. In the weekend of the 28th of November the second part of the release will go live.

In the new release we have built a LinkedIn integration! This means it is possible to show the LinkedIn profiles of your candidates within Peoplexs. You can also discover how you are connected to companies based on your LinkedIn network. In the coming months we will add the LinkedIn widgets to more and more parts of the application.

Another great improvement is our Search Engine Optimization or SEO. This new functionality allows you to control the search-ability of your vacancies in Google much better. You will be able to control keywords and descriptions so your vacancies are ranked higher in the Google search results. Now your vacancies are found much easier by your candidates!
